How would you like a plug-in that is going to clean up those long links especially if you are promoting an affiliate link?
I added a plug-in a few weeks ago and never used it until a friend of mine told me about the power of the pretty link. The power to make a long ugly link into something pretty and easy to remember.
One of your goals as a home based Internet business owner is the make life as easy as possible. Pretty link can help make life easier. It is a Wordpress plug-in which makes your affiliate link to your regular blog URL.
For example: I recently registered to receive a copy of the Google Switch, which is a free 136-page traffic blueprint. The affiliate link to track my information is http://mlmtrafficswitch.com/?ref=fmhukbml. Using the Pretty Link plug-in, I made an easy link to capture the traffic for my blog statistics at http://TommyDiPietro.com/googleswitch.
Here are some of the great features of using the Pretty Link plug-in:
It can create a simple URL to redirect any affiliate or other links.
There is a custom slug for URL according to your choice.
Make group for different category links such as themes, services and plug-ins.
It has the ability to track hits per link.
Keeps track of IP of visitors, browser, and time of hit on link.
You can download stats on CSV format.
You can choose between temporary and permanent redirection.
I recommend you checking out this plug-in, it can really help boost your traffic and make it easier for people to remember your links, if you leverage it the right way.

Excellent plug-in. I am new to Pretty Link but can see the benefits clearly.
Being able to chop a URL and add it to your blog link is a win-win situation. A presentable link with your blog as its root makes tracking easier while positioning you as an authority for that affiliate.

Honestly Tommy I have had the plug in for quite some time but haven’t used it. This may be a tool I need to get off the shelf. I like the fact that you can track the time of the click nice.

Hi Tommy,
It looks cool. The difference of this cloaking from the other ones I see is that you can attach it to your own domain name rather than having a shortened one without any tags. This gives a personal touch to the links.
The closest I have seen to this is the ViralURL cloaking which allows tags, but then again, it’s not attached to your domain.
Will surely try this. Thanks for sharing.
